The Cabinet decided during its meeting on Monday to extend the period of exemption of the taxpayers from the amounts due to them until the 31st of March, and for the last time, in the event of payment of the outstanding balance, with the possibility of benefiting from the installment. 

The decision comes in view of the heavy demand of the taxpayers to pay the amounts incurred after the government's decision to exempt them from the fines incurred in the event of payment, and the decision to allow the taxpayers to benefit from the decision to pay the amounts due to them after the Council of Ministers earlier approved the installment of balances covered To exempt the fines until the end of this year. 

The Cabinet also decided today to maintain the rates of real estate rental fees in the Landlords and Migrants Act of 1994 and not to raise them to avoid any additional financial burdens on citizens.

The Cabinet reviewed the responses of the Ministries of Interior, Municipal Affairs, Tourism, Antiquities, Public Works and Housing on the outcomes of the committees formed in relation to the Dead Sea incident.

The Cabinet also decided to approve the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Government of the Republic of Cyprus on scientific research, innovation and technology. 

The MoU aims to enhance bilateral cooperation in the areas of scientific research, innovation, technology, exchange of experiences, scientists, scientific and technological information, organizing workshops, conferences and scientific exhibitions. 

The Council of Ministers decided to approve the reasons for the draft amended system of the profession of nursing and midwifery practice for the year 2019 in preparation for sending it to the Legislative and Rai Council for approval as appropriate. 

The project aims at ensuring the safety of the patient through the evaluation of nurses, new midwives and non-Jordanian university graduates, and to ascertain the compatibility of the quality of the outputs of nursing education with the skills and competencies required within the scope of nursing work and improve these outputs.
