The International Marketing and Exhibitions Company (IPCO),
with the support of the Amman Chamber of Industry and the Investment Authority,
will hold an exhibition of Jordanian industries in Doha on March 6.
The Minister of State for Investment Mohannad Shehadeh
stressed the importance of holding a specialized exhibition for Jordanian
industries in the State of Qatar to promote and enhance the presence of
national products in foreign markets. He called on companies to use the
exhibition to connect and build relationships and networking of Qatari businessmen
to achieve mutual benefit.
"The Qatari market is one of the most promising markets
where national products have the opportunity to enter this market thanks to its
high quality and favourable price, which gives it great opportunities to
compete with other commodities imported by the State of Qatar," he said.
Minister Shehadeh said that the Investment Authority, as part
of its plans to open new markets to national products, is supporting companies
in specialized exhibitions in order to enable them to display and promote their
products in order to enter into commercial transactions and increase their
production quantities.
He stressed that national exports are the key to economic
growth, which is working to increase employment and improve the standard of living
of citizens, noting that the volume of national exports rose during the last
year by 3.9 percent despite the challenges and circumstances in the region.
Minister Shehadeh expected that national exports and
investment volume will continue to rise during the current year by opening new
export markets as well as activating economic and investment relations and
increasing the volume of trade exchange with neighbouring countries.
According to the Director General of APCO Raed Abu Saada, the
exhibition will be held at the Doha Exhibition and Conference Center for three
days, stressing that the participation will be open to Jordanian companies from
various industrial sectors.
He pointed out that the exhibition represents a great
opportunity for the industrial sector to promote its products and enhance its
presence in the Qatari market, expecting to witness a remarkable turnout due to
the great reputation enjoyed by the national industry and the successes
achieved during the first exhibition.
He pointed out that the Qatari market has many investment and
marketing opportunities for the sectors of industry, trade, therapeutic and
recreational tourism, in addition to identifying the investment areas in Jordan.
