Al-Saket: "Made in Jordan" contributes to
strengthening the state of production
The head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Eng. Fathi Al-Jaghair,
affirmed that the support of the Jordanian industry contributes to combating
poverty and unemployment. The industrial sector is the most capable of creating
new job opportunities for citizens in the case of increasing demand for
national products in the local market and export markets. Contributing to the
national economy through exports of more than 7 billion dollars, while workers
in the industrial sector, which number about (240) thousand workers and
workers, more than one billion dinars annually as salaries and compensation.
Al-Jaghbir said that the Amman Chamber of Industry will continue to support the
"Made in Jordan" campaign to achieve its objectives of enhancing the
citizen's confidence in the national industry and introducing the quality and
level of development that His language is the industry.
Deputy Chairman of the Amman Chamber of Industry and the Chairman of the
committee responsible for the "Made in Jordan" campaign, Engineer
Musa Al-Saket said that the campaign has become a national campaign supported
by all ministries, official institutions and private sector actors. His Majesty
the King, by adding the axis of the State of production to the axes to which
the campaign will work.
Al-Saket pointed out that the campaign in Jordan has gone through many stages
during the past years and launched a large number of activities and
initiatives, the most prominent of which were field visits to different schools
and lectures on the national industry in conjunction with the organization of
visits to the factories to learn about the commitment Factories with quality
and safety standards in their production
Al-Saket added that the campaign has set up introductory days, some of which
coincided with exhibitions of employment in a number of public and private
universities, in addition to organizing exhibitions in a number of governorates
under the name "Made in Jordan", as well as setting up introductory
days in the national industry in cooperation with the number of major
commercial centers, In order to distinguish the national industries from other
industries, a logo for the "Made in Jordan" campaign was designed to
be placed on the Jordanian products, stressing that the coming period will
witness the launch of more activities and initiatives for the campaign, in
cooperation with several ministries He added that the Chamber welcomes the
cooperation with the "Eyes of Jordan We Meet" initiative in promoting
the objectives of the campaign and cooperating with the initiative in the
various activities of the campaign that will be organized.
For her part, Al-Khuzaie Al-Freihat, one of the institutions of the "Eyes
of Jordan" initiative, explained that the initiative was founded out of a
sense of responsibility towards Jordan and its future, and includes a group of
Jordanian officials working in the diplomatic and business sectors. Promoting
Jordan internationally, regionally and locally in various sectors.
The meeting was attended by Hani Abuhasan, Vice Chairman of the Jordan Chamber
of Industry, Dr. Nael Al Husami, Director General of the Amman Chamber of
Industry and Dr. Maher Al Mahrouq, Director General of Jordan Chamber of
Industry.
