Al-Razzaz: A system to Support The Industry and Open up Foreign Markets to Help Increase Exports

Prime Minister Dr. Omar al-Razzaz on Sunday launched a number of electronic services for the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply and the Companies Control Department in the presence of the Ministers of Corporate Development, Industry, Trade, Supply and Information Technology and the charge d'affaires at the US Embassy in Amman. And upgrading the level of services provided to citizens and all clients with the Ministry, in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Prime Minister Dr. Omar Al-Razzaz said that the launch of electronic services is part of the three axes of the national renaissance project related to the state of Takaful, the State of Production and the rule of law, and reflects the practical steps to bring about the White Revolution. 
Al-Razzaz said that the move from zero to 43 percent of the electronic services in industry and commerce and the control of companies to reach about 100 percent before the end of 2020, including electronic signature services and the process involved in the review of procedures and engineering is a white revolution, Government action. 

Al-Razzaz pointed out that the launch of these electronic services in an important economic sector will be matched by work to improve services in the sectors of health, transport and education, stressing that we want the investor to devote all his efforts in production, creativity and innovation and not waste time in follow-up transactions and administrative procedures.

The Prime Minister stressed that the government is working on the completion of an integrated system to support the national industry and opening up foreign markets to help them increase exports and support and empower small and medium-sized companies and provide the necessary funding, noting that these measures include the priorities of the government for the next two years. 

Al-Razzaz thanked the Ministries of Industry, Commerce, Catering and the State for the development of the institutional performance, communications and information technology that contributed to the completion of the electronic transformation project. He also thanked the USAID for its continued support for the transformation projects in the Jordanian economy, which will help achieve growth rates that contribute to the recovery of the economy. Which is reflected in the standard of living of citizens and the creation of employment opportunities. 
For his part, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Dr. Tarik Al-Hammouri said that the launch of these electronic services is a translation of King Abdullah II's directives to the government by facilitating citizens and investors to save time and effort. 

He pointed out that the average transactions that are completed annually in the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply and the control of companies up to 320 thousand transactions will be through the project today shift by providing about 43 percent of them electronically or the equivalent of about 130 transactions, pointing out that this will be reached during the first quarter From next year to about 60 percent. 

Al-Hamouri affirmed that this project is one of the points of achievement, which we will see soon to support the industrial sector and enhance its capabilities in the export process, pointing out that last week was announced the advantages and advantages of the Jordanian industry on simplifying the rules of entry into the Jordanian products for European markets, Jordanian industry to increase exports to new markets. Al- Hamouri said that the electronic services project today is part of the production country and that the industrial, commercial and economic activities that are undergoing new procedures and stages have demanded that the procedures be facilitated by registration and training and during the stages of its work regarding inspection and insolvency. 

These services allow customers to submit electronic applications to the Companies Control Department and (11) service and (42) of the services of the Directorate of Industrial Property Protection needed by these services. 
The project was supported by the Jordan Competitiveness Project (JCP) funded by the US Agency for Development through the re-examination of the engineering of both trademark and patent registration processes and part of the results. The main operations were completed in the Directorate to facilitate both the citizen and the investor to submit transactions within 24 hours 7 days a week and complete the electronic payment procedure. 

He noted d. Al Hamouri added that the electronic payment has been activated through your payment company (ie your bills) in addition to the availability of payment and delivery of services seven days (24) hours and make the method of receiving the transaction either by Jordanian mail or by personal receipt. 
The services include the electronic services launched by the Ministry related to the work of the Directorate of Industrial Property Protection, trademark registration, trademark investigation, patent registration, transfer of ownership of a patent application, renewal of the industrial property right, modification of the name or address of the industrial property owner , The transfer of ownership of the industrial property right, the cancellation of the "revocation" of the industrial property right, the request for the original copy of the industrial property right, the request for a certified copy of the right of industrial property and the addition of industrial property right agents. 

These services are connected to 42 electronic transactions to complete transactions for services that have been launched electronically. 
The services provided by the Companies Control Department include the registration of joint stock companies, the registration of small companies, the registration of limited liability companies, the registration of foreign companies operating and the registration of non-operating foreign companies. 

The new website of the partnership monitoring department, which will be through the provision of electronic services to the department, was also launched. 
These electronic services and awareness campaigns are the result of joint cooperation between the Jordanian government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the US Agency for International Development (USAID). This cooperation will continue to complete the computerization of all 50 services provided by the company's monitoring department during the coming year. 

The electronic services enable investors to submit applications for registration of companies electronically. The registration application will be signed later by the personal attendance of the department after completing all the requirements, documents and approvals electronically, and then receiving the certified copy of the registration certificate either by personal attendance of the department or through the Jordanian post. 

These services enable investors to register limited liability companies, joint and foreign companies and companies with their working and non-working branches in all their forms, whether ordinary, exempt, non-profit, civil or Arab. 
To streamline procedures and facilitate investors' access to services and to reduce time and effort, the portal was electronically linked to both the Social Security Corporation and the Internal Revenue and Sales Department as service providers. In addition to linking with both the General Security Directorate and the Civil Status Department as service support systems. 

The electronic link was also implemented with the banks operating in Jordan so that the investor can check the bank, open the company account and deposit the capital without having to check the company control department to receive the book of deposit. 
The service providers, which require licensing requirements or those of their prerogatives, have been associated with the granting of prior approvals for the economic activities / goals of the companies. 

During the service launch ceremony, it was emphasized the importance of automating the procedures and computerization which has become the cornerstone in the work of all departments and state institutions of service nature. It is no longer conceivable to simplify the work procedures, improve efficiency while maintaining its fairness and transparency, Service, accuracy and speed of completion without exhaustion.
