Amman Chamber of Industry is organizing a mass meeting next
Monday at the Chamber's building to discuss the draft of the new investment
law.
The head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Eng.
Fathi Al-Jaghbir, confirmed that this meeting comes within the policy of the
Chamber’s Board of Directors to consult with representatives of industrial
companies in all matters of interest to the sector, especially draft laws,
noting that the industrial sector has many observations on the draft law, not

more internal and external investments and preserving the existing investors,
expressing the hope that the claims of the industrialists in relation to this
law will be taken into account.
It is noteworthy that the law regulating the investment
environment is a priority program for the government’s economic work
(2021-2023), which seeks to develop and enhance the investment environment in
the Kingdom, and stimulate both local and foreign investments. The business
environment, by digitizing and simplifying the procedures associated with it,
and reducing production and business costs, in a way that contributes to
stimulating economic growth and creating job opportunities.
The government intends to present the draft law to the
National Assembly in the next extraordinary session, which will be held on the
twentieth of July.
