The "Fancy Food" exhibition in New York witnessed the participation of many local industrial companies working in the food industry sector, organized by the Ministry of Investment and the Jordanian Exporters Association.
The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Investment, Zaher Al-Qatarneh, had inaugurated the Jordanian pavilion participating in the exhibition, which started last Sunday in New York City, and will last for three days.
Al-Qatarneh said that the organization of the Jordanian pavilion at the Fancy Food Exhibition in New York City comes in partnership with the Jordanian Exporters Association, as it is considered one of the most important international exhibitions specialized in the field of food industry and trade.
He stressed that participation in the exhibition constitutes an important opportunity for Jordanian companies to market their products, seek to conclude commercial deals and see the latest developments in the field of food processing, pointing out that the United States is one of Jordan's most important trading partners and the most important export market for national products, in light of the existence of a signed free trade agreement.
Between the two countries, it allows the exchange of goods without any customs barriers.
He added that the ministry plays a key role in supporting the Jordanian product and bringing it to global markets through holding exhibitions, supporting external promotional activities, and contributing to bearing part of the financial costs resulting from the participation of industrial companies in those exhibitions.
Al-Qatarneh stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Investment to increase the volume of national exports, and to facilitate work on networking Jordanian industrial companies with their counterparts from different countries of the world.
For his part, the association's president, Ahmad Al-Khudari, stressed that there is a great export opportunity for Jordanian products to enter the American market and compete in it, based on its high quality that matches the world.
Al-Khudari said that the free trade agreement signed between Jordan and the United States constitutes an important ground and an opportunity to increase the flow of Jordanian products to this important market, which is one of the strongest markets, in terms of purchasing power and the ability of national industries to meet its needs.
Al-Khudari considered the free trade agreement between Jordan and the United States of America to be one of the most successful agreements that were signed, and it contributed significantly to increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.
Al-Khudari stressed that the Jordanian industry, especially the food industry, witnessed a great development during the past years in terms of quality and competitive price, as evidenced by its reaching more than 142 markets around the world.
