The Indian Jordanian Chemical Company, fully owned by Jordan Phosphate Mines Company and the Jordan Chamber of Industry, signed a memorandum of understanding today aimed at organizing the purchase of phosphoric acid by Jordanian specialized fertilizer manufacturing companies. This acid is used in the production of specialized compound fertilizers.
The memorandum, signed by Dr. Mohammad Al-Dhweibat, Chairman of the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company, and Engineer Fathi Al-Jaghbeer, Chairman of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, in the presence of Engineer Abdulwahab Al-Rawad, CEO of the Phosphate Company, and Dr. Naim Al-Hassami, Director General of the Amman Chamber of Industry, aims to establish a framework that defines the pricing policy for phosphoric acid produced by the Indian Jordanian Chemical Company
Dr. Al-Dhweibat emphasized the importance of this memorandum with the Jordan Chamber of Industry, which reflects a true partnership between various national institutions and companies, contributing to efforts to achieve development across different sectors. He pointed out that the memorandum of understanding will have a positive and significant impact on the industrial sector in the Kingdom.

He stated that the company places special importance on the manufacturing industries within its plans, and looks forward to achieving further accomplishments in this field, diversifying its products, reducing production costs, and enhancing the added value of phosphate, which strengthens the company’s role in supporting the national economy.
Dr. Al-Dhweibat highlighted the significant achievements of the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company in terms of production, sales, and profits, as well as its diverse partnerships both locally and internationally, which contribute to enhancing the company’s position in the global fertilizer market and expanding in this field.
Dr. Al-Dhweibat also praised the role of the Jordan Chamber of Industry in contributing to the development and growth of national industries, commending the efforts of the employees of the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company working across various sites, and their great efforts to serve the company’s goals and ensure the sustainability of the production and manufacturing process according to the highest quality standards.
For his part, Engineer Al-Jaghbeer stated that the memorandum will contribute to providing raw materials for Jordanian factories and support the local chemical industries sector, which will enhance the competitiveness of this vital sector through the utilization of local production inputs, contribute to increasing exports, and create more job opportunities.
Engineer Al-Jaghbeer praised the national role of the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company, which serves as an economic lever contributing to increasing the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), emphasizing that the cooperation between the Chamber, the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company, and national institutions in general contributes to strengthening the national economy’s capacity and competitiveness, in line with the economic modernization vision.
Under the memorandum, the Jordan Chamber of Industry will prepare a list of Jordanian companies that produce specialized fertilizers and wish to purchase phosphoric acid for fertilizer manufacturing only. It will provide the Indian Jordanian Chemical Company with the names of these companies that meet the supply conditions and their quarterly needs for phosphoric acid.
The memorandum stipulates that the Jordan Chamber of Industry will coordinate among the concerned parties within its powers in all governorates, ensuring that no certificates of origin for phosphoric acid sold under this memorandum will be issued, and that the acid will be exclusively sold with the approval of the Indian Jordanian Chemical Company and only through direct sales by the company.

According to the memorandum, the Indian Jordanian Chemical Company will determine the selling price of phosphoric acid on a quarterly basis, based on the globally announced selling price and in accordance with the agreed pricing formula. The company is also committed to supplying fertilizer factories with concentrated acid that meets export specifications.
