The head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Eng. Fathi Al-Jaghbir, confirmed that the Amman Chamber of Industry will organize a visit for an industrial delegation to Algeria during the period from June 12-16, to discuss enhancing trade exchange between the two countries.
Jaghbir added, during his meeting with the participants in the delegation, today, Monday, in the presence of the rapporteur of the exhibitions committee in the chamber, Ahed Al-Rajabi, and members of the board of directors of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Muhammad Al-Jitan, Tamim Al-Qasrawi, Dima Sukhtian, and Ihab Qadri, that this visit comes due to the importance of the Algerian market for Jordanian exports as One of the promising and large markets capable of absorbing many products of the industrial sector, as the delegation’s visit includes holding bilateral business meetings with Algerian businessmen and traders in the Algerian capital, as well as in the cities of Blida, Setif and Constantine, noting that the importance of the visit comes to coincide with the establishment of the Algeria International Fair In which 23 Jordanian industrial companies participate, organized by the Ministry of Investment and the Export House.
Jaghbir called for intensifying the governmental effort towards overcoming obstacles to Jordanian industrial exports to the Algerian market, by activating the trade agreements signed between the two countries and discussing obstacles to the implementation of these agreements, stressing the importance of the participation of representatives of official institutions in any meetings held in Algeria, to ensure the success of these meetings, especially And previous experiences in organizing visits of economic delegations proved the importance of the participation of government officials in these visits, the latest of which was the visit of a Jordanian economic delegation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
For his part, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Investment Zaher Al-Qatarneh stressed that the ministry is keen to support the participation of Jordanian industrialists in local and foreign exhibitions, due to the importance of promoting Jordanian industries, and thus increasing their sales in the local and export markets, as the ministry estimates the value of support for foreign participation according to the number of participants and the cost Participation in the exhibition, stressing that the role of the Ministry of Investment is not limited to attracting foreign investments, but rather enhancing the presence and development of internal investments, and hence the ministry's support for industrial companies participating in the Algiers International Fair.
It is noteworthy that the volume of trade exchanges between the two countries reached during the year 2021 about 199 million dollars, as the value of Jordanian exports amounted to 99 million compared to imports amounting to 100 million.
