We attach to you a copy of the Prime Minister's Book dated 20/12/2020 addressed to His Excellency the Minister of Finance/ Income and Sales Tax Department, which includes the decision of the Esteemed Cabinet to reduce the tax on the following articles:
- Oil production inputs from bottles, bottles, plastic and metal bottles, cardboard boxes and printed paper used to package oils to be similar to the 4% tax rate on oils.
- Inputs for the production of canned food (vegetables, cereals and canned fruits) from plastic bottles, metal cans, cardboard boxes and paper required to fill and package canned vegetables, cereals and fruits to be similar to the tax rate imposed on the final product of these materials(2%).
- Inputs for the production of specific types of dairy: the general tax on sales imposed on plastic bottles, metal cans and cardboard boxes, in addition to printed paper used to fill and encapsulate specific types of milk, is reduced to (5%).
- Date packaging bags on trees before harvest to become (2%).
- Carton used for egg dishes to become (4%).
