We would like to inform you that the Council of Ministers has recently approved a package of investment incentives for the Tafila Industrial City for the purposes of encouraging investment. The incentives include:

Supporting electric energy prices for small and medium industrial investments in Tafila Industrial City by granting a reduced electric tariff for a period of ten years at a rate of (75%) for the first five years and at a rate of (50%) for the following three years and at a rate of (25%) for the remaining two years.

• Inclusion of Tafila Industrial City in the productive branches program.
• Subsidizing the cost of container handling for goods exported through the port of Aqaba by (50%) for a period of (5) years.
• Reductions on the sale prices of land and rent allowances for buildings by up to (80%).
• The above incentives are subject to special requirements related to the employment of Jordanian labor and the preparation of a training plan to qualify workers and achieve an added value.
