The General Food and Drug Administration has informed us that, to ensure the safety of dairy products and protect consumers, the following measures have been decided:
- Prohibition of distribution and sale of dairy products unless packaged in containers with printed, non-removable labels.
Limiting the size of distribution packages to sealed containers weighing no more than 5 kg, except for shaneeneh (a fermented dairy drink) and boiled white cheeses.
- Prohibition of reusing previously used containers and banning their return to the producer.
- Reinforcement of the prohibition of trading or distributing dairy products without presenting proper invoices that verify the source of the products. Both suppliers and retailers will bear legal responsibility for non-compliance.
- Emphasizing the responsibility of packaging material factories to ensure they do not sell to dairy producers or facilities unless these are officially licensed according to regulations.
