We would like to inform you that the Amman Chamber of Industry, through its Employment Unit, will be holding a focused group discussion workshop with a selection of industrial companies on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Amman Chamber of Industry premises, located in Jabal Amman, near the 2nd Circle - 4th Floor. This workshop is part of the Employment in Jordan Program (EJ2030), funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the German International Cooperation (GIZ). A professional occupational health and safety consultant, commissioned by GIZ, will also be present.
The purpose of the workshop is to assess the current occupational health and safety (OHS) systems in place within companies, identify needs and areas for development, and explore how the Employment Unit at the Amman Chamber of Industry can enhance its role and services in improving OHS practices as part of the broader employment services package offered by the unit.
The specific objectives of the workshop include:
Assessing the current OHS systems and practices within participating companies.
Identifying needs and gaps in the existing OHS framework.
Developing services aimed at improving OHS practices.
Collecting input on potential awareness activities, training programs, and advisory services related to OHS.
