We would like to inform you of the decision by the Ministry of Agriculture regarding the activation of paragraph (b) of Article (52) of the Instructions for the Registration, Manufacturing, Preparation, Importation, Trade, and Handling of Pesticides No. Z/5 for the year 2023 (attached).
The aforementioned article has been activated through the sampling of all imported materials to verify their nature, effective from June 1, 2024. The mechanism involves the release of imported raw materials with a judicial pledge to the factories' warehouses. The technical committee formed for this purpose will take representative samples from the shipments and send them for testing at the Plant Wealth Laboratories to verify the nature of the raw material. The customs process will not be completed until the border centers are provided with the procedure by the Directorate of Plant Protection and Health.
