We have been informed by the Ministry of Agriculture that the Pesticide Registration Committee has decided on the mechanism for implementing the decision regarding the testing of imported raw materials, as follows:
The goods will be released with a judicial pledge (issued once), which will be renewed annually, to the factories' warehouses. This is to allow the committee assigned by the ministry to take representative samples from these shipments and send them for testing to the Plant Wealth Laboratories or any other laboratories accredited by the ministry. The customs process will not be completed until the results are issued by the laboratories, confirming the nature of the active ingredient.
The decision to take samples from the raw materials to verify their nature will be implemented starting from June 23, 2024.
