The exports of the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) increased by 19% in the past two months compared to the same period last year, maintaining the upward trend that began at the start of this year.
ACI’s exports reached 1.102 billion dinars during the past two months of this year, compared to 926 million dinars for the same period last year.
Most industrial sectors recorded an increase in exports during the past two months, except for the pharmaceuticals & medical supplies sector and the wood & furniture sector, which declined by 28.5% and 19.7%, respectively.
The remaining eight industrial sub-sectors saw varying increases, with the construction materials sector achieving the highest growth at 105.5%, while the packaging, paper, cardboard, and office supplies sector recorded the lowest increase at 5.7%.

India, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq accounted for more than half of ACI’s exports during the past two months, with a total value of 638 million dinars.
According to the data, ACI’s exports to Syria rose by 276.8% during the past two months, reaching 44 million dinars, compared to 11 million dinars during the same period in 2024.
By geographic distribution, Arab countries topped ACI’s exports with a total value of 537 million dinars, followed by non-Arab Asian countries (215 million dinars), and North American countries (207 million dinars).
ACI’s exports to European Union countries during the past two months amounted to 56 million dinars, while exports to non-EU European countries reached 43 million dinars. Exports to African countries totaled 28 million dinars, while exports to other countries stood at 14 million dinars.
The chamber's exports during the past two months were distributed among various industrial sectors, including:
Mining industries: 226 million dinars
Chemical industries & cosmetics: 210 million dinars
Engineering, electrical, and IT industries: 193 million dinars
Food, agricultural, and livestock industries: 167 million dinars
Leather and garment industries: 94 million dinars
Pharmaceuticals & medical supplies: 72 million dinars
Plastics & rubber industries: 53 million dinars
Packaging, paper, cardboard & office supplies: 44 million dinars
Construction materials: 40 million dinars
Wood & furniture industries: 3 million dinars
It is worth mentioning that the Amman Chamber of Industry, established in 1962, currently has 8,600 industrial establishments as members, employing 159,000 workers with a total capital of approximately 5 billion dinars.
